Corporate image for Pasticcerià Calù, located in Cantalupo in Sabina, Lazio, Italy. Logo, sign and the classic monogram are inspired by the lettering of the Art Nouveau era, referring to the inspirations and Parisian experiences of the founders: Carolina Galiotto and Alessandro Dell’Omo.
The work is inspired by the classic signs of the past (french and italian) and is presented by rewriting the local legend of the town: in the Sabine countryside a wolf was wandering around hungry howling in the surroundings; he saw a bright star in the sky and his mournful howl turned into a harmonious song. The tissue paper coordinated with the brand tells the same story, but the hungry wolf (which is also on the coat of arms of the town), guided by a cloud of fragrant scent of sweets that cloaks the alleys of the village, arrives under the window where a freshly baked cake has been placed. That window recalls the place in the small square where the Calù pastry shop opens.
Below is the logotype, the line logotype, the monogram, and the logotype with the coordinated graphic elements that then go on to create the packaging elements for the products.
In his wanderings the wolf passes through all the landmarks and monuments of the country. On the tissue paper all the important historical and architectural places of the area are retraced. To create a bond and a relationship with the place of origin.
